The Delaware Council for History Education announces a new professional learning opportunity that will allow K-12 teachers to explore the history and culture of different Delaware communities. Join us for six full-day professional learning workshops funded by the Library of Congress Teaching with Primary Sources Program. Workshops will include:
Presentations by historians, education specialists, and community members
Sessions to address the Delaware Content Standards using culturally relevant resources and projects from the Library of Congress and local sources
Participating teachers will receive $1000 stipends

Jan 29: Content overview and creating the pedagogical framework
Feb 26: Pre-Columbian Delaware
March 26: Pre-Columbian North America
April 30: Pre-Columbian Mesoamerica
May 14: Pre-Columbian Caribbean
June 18th: Showcase
